Taehyung
Everyone was in the woods, trying to find and track Alina's scent desperately. The pack was pretty big with the seven of us along with Junsu, Kai, Moonbyul, Solar, Hwasa, Huening Kai and Taehyun. Lily and the kids stayed with Yuri at the house.
If it were up to me, Jimin and Huening Kai would have stayed too. I did not want them to get hurt, but they were both stubborn, not that I blamed them. Jimin was her mate and he was not going to let the rest of us go while he stayed behind. He would never forgive me if I forced him to stay. He loved her, just as much as I loved her and I had no right to tell him to stay. As for Huening Kai, she had saved him so he felt he owed her as much, even if we tried to convince him otherwise. He said he would never forgive himself if he did not come.
We stopped for a few minutes to catch our breath and rest from the constant running. I stopped by the river as I looked at the reflection. I transformed into my human form and reached into the water to wash my face. I stared at my reflection as I thought about Alina. Where was she? Was she okay? How was she dealing with the pain? I sighed as I looked at the others, all of them in their own world. Everyone looked tired, drained and desperate and I could feel it in my mates just how in pain they were.
I looked at Namjoon who stood isolated from the others. For the past few hours he has been isolating himself. I knew he was blaming himself for not being able to protect her. I knew because I had blamed myself when I had lost control with her. I had never hated myself more than in that moment. I wanted to go and comfort him, tell him it was not his fault, but I had to keep my focus.
Suddenly, I felt another searing pain on my side. My hand flew to there as I squeezed my eyes shut. I doubled over just as I felt hands on my back, keeping me from falling. ‘You’re feeling it again?’ Jimin asked as I turned around to look at him. His eyes were red from all the crying. I nodded.
‘Yeah. I keep feeling glimpses of pain,’ I said as I looked at Yoongi who was on the other side but also feeling it. He had Hoseok holding him as he held onto the ground.
‘Those *s are hurting her,’ I heard Jungkook say angrily. He was absolutely seething.
‘We need to find her before… before we’re too late,’ Jimin said. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it in mine.
‘We’ll find her,’ I said as I stood up. The seven of us came together as we looked at each other. Suddenly, a blue light appeared out of nowhere, right in front of me.
I blinked my eyes as I saw the others also looking. ‘Is… is that a fairy?’ Jin asked, tilting his head.
‘Yes, I’m a fairy,’ she said, her voice soft but loud enough for us to hear. ‘My name is Żafira,’ she added.
‘What do you want Żafira? Why did you come to us?’ I asked. She gave me a small smile before she started speaking again.
‘I know Alina. She saved my life once. She also saved other fairies,’ she said. The boys and I all exchanged looks, feeling a little bit of hope. ‘I saw the vampires take her so I followed them. I know where they are keeping her,’ she said.
‘What? Really? Then you can take us to her!’ Namjoon exclaimed and Żafira nodded.
‘I can and I will,’ she said sounding determined.
‘Is she okay? Do you know if she is hurt or not?’ Jimin asked. Żafira sighed as she looked at us sadly.
‘She’s hurt. They have a vampire called Anya. She’s old and she’s their most efficient torturer. She also is the sister of two of the vampires that Alina killed,’ Żafira explained.
‘*. We need to get to her, now,’ Hoseok said but Żafira shook her head. ‘What do you mean no?’ he asked.
‘I will take you to her but I will just ask you to wait for a few minutes. More fairies are coming to help,’ she said.
‘What? Why? I mean I know you said Alina helped other fairies which isn’t surprising, but it’s dangerous,’ Jungkook said, that protective nature coming out as usual.
‘I know but we’re not as vulnerable as we look. We’re fast and hard to catch. Besides, we can mask your scent to help you infiltrate the place,’ she explained.
‘We do need a plan,’ I said but Namjoon scoffed which was unlike him. Usually, he’s the first to advise about the need to plan things.
‘Taehyung we’re talking about Alina, our mate. She’s being tortured. We can’t sit around and wait. * the plan, we just go there and get her,’ he said.
‘Namjoon, I know it hurts okay. I *ing know too well because I feel it every time she gets hurt but do you think it’s what she wants? Do you think she will forgive any one of us if we go and get ourselves killed? No. We need to plan things to make sure we take her out safely,’ I said.
‘Taehyung is right Joon,’ Yoongi said, nodding to himself.
‘We need to be careful, not just for us but for her too,’ Jin added, but before we could continue, three people appeared from out of nowhere.
‘What the hell?’ Jungkook asked as all of us were taken by surprise.
‘Why is everyone appearing out of nowhere?’ Hoseok mumbled.
‘Wh—who are you?’ Jimin asked as the three people turned to look at us. They were two males and a female, all of them looking rather… well normal except for their leather clothing.
‘Oh there you are. Are you Alina’s mates?’ the female asked. I blinked but nodded. ‘Good then we’re at the right place. I’m Jia by the way and these are Shang and Don. We’re here to help,’ Jia said.
‘How? I mean how do you know about Alina and how are you going to help?’ Jin asked.
‘Well, Alina and us, we knew each other when we were younger. We’re all of the magic branch if you get what I mean,’ Shang said.
‘We practice magic, sort of like Alina,’ Don said. ‘We’re all healers but while she bends the elements to her will, which by the way is really cool, we do other stuff,’ he explained.
‘For example,’ Jia began before she disappeared and then reappeared right behind Hoseok who gasped a little. ‘I teleport, making me a very effective fighter,’ she explained.
‘As for me,’ Shang said before he raised his hand and a log just seemed to fly into his hand. ‘I practice telekinesis which is just a fancy name for moving stuff with my mind,’ he explained.
‘What about you?’ Yoongi asked, turning to Don. Don sighed heavily as he tilted his head.
‘Mine is the gift of life,’ he said. ‘I can give life or take life but never bring back from the dead,’ he explained.
‘This is all pretty good, but it doesn’t explain how you knew about Alina or where to find us,’ I insisted.
‘You’re right. Werewolves like yourself, you have the mind link right?’ Jia asked and I nodded. ‘Our kind, we don’t have a constant open communication line so to say, but we can send a mind message to a person of our choosing,’ she said.
‘Wait… did Alina did contact you?’ Yoongi asked and she nodded. Once again, we exchanged a look.
‘She knows you’re going to get her. She wanted us to help you. Even while caught, she’s trying to protect you,’ Shang said.
‘Of course she is,’ Jungkook said with a sigh. He ran his hand through his hair, nodding to himself.
‘It was a bit difficult to find you but we managed to track you through her,’ Jia explained.
‘You can do that?’ Jimin asked, showing everyone’s surprise.
‘What can we say? Our magic is pretty strong, just like your bond mate,’ Shang said as he looked at me and Yoongi.
‘As soon as the fairies come, we’ll attack, but we’ll do it carefully and with a plan. As soon as we’re in there, don’t worry, we’ll wreak havoc in there and you’ll get her out,’ Dom said.
I breathed a sigh of relief, feeling more hope flooding in. I closed my eyes as I pictured Alina. We’re coming for you love, just hold on a little longer, we’re coming.
